  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cups cooked long-grain white rice (for serving)

  • 4 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 24 oz apple juice
  • 3 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 ½ lbs pork loin strips (cut across the grain into ½ inch thin slices)
  • 1 Tbsp white pepper
  • 1 large apple, sliced

Cut pork into thin strips. In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and white pepper.Sprinkle the spice blend over the pork strips and set aside
  2. Make the Sauce:
In another bowl, whisk together apple juice, soy sauce, cider vinegar, and cornstarch until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Cook:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork and cook, stirring frequently, for about 4 minutes, or until browned.Add sliced apple to the pan and cook until the apple is just tender.Return the pork to the skillet and pour in the apple juice mixture. Simmer gently until the sauce thickens and the pork is fully cooked through.

Notes

Pairings:

  1. Side dishes: Steamed green beans, roasted root vegetables, or a simple mixed salad.
  2. Bread: Crusty French baguette or cornbread to soak up the sauce.
  3. Wine pairing: A crisp Riesling or Gewürztraminer complements the sweetness of the apples. For red lovers, try a Pinot Noir.
  4. Beer pairing: Hard cider or a spiced ale enhances the autumn flavors.

I don't cook a lot of Pork Tender Loin, but this recipe will change that. It was easy to make and came out wonderful. The pork was tender and full of flavor! I served it with roasted carrots. Wonderful meal!

Paul, so sorry for taking so long to reply to your message. It's great to see that it went well. Have you tried any other recipes over the past several months?

I’ve always struggled with cooking pork, but this recipe made it simple and the flavor was outstanding. Talk about a pantry friendly recipe! I already had all the spices and soy sauce on hand, and the only thing I needed to pick up was the pork tenderloin. It’s definitely earned a spot in my weekly rotation!
