Classic Caprese Salad with Heirloom Tomatoes

Andrea Nicolella returns with another installment of Founder's Daughter's Recipes, sharing a classic Caprese Salad (Insalata Caprese) made with heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, olive oil, and balsamic glaze. This simple Italian favorite celebrates fresh ingredients and effortless summer entertaining.
Ingredients
- 4 Heirloom tomatoes
- 12 oz. of sliced Mozzarella
- 1/2 cup fresh basil
- 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 Tbsp Balsamic Glaze
- 1 tsp Salt & Pepper or to taste
Instructions
- Method
On a nice size platter slice Heirloom tomatoes or any nice sized tomatoes along with Buffalo Mozzarella. Use Micro Greens when available. - Final Touches
Drizzle with EVOO and Balsamic glaze, season with salt and pepper.
