Like so many of you, we at Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace love our local Made-In-Michigan products. We’re lucky to have such long-standing iconic brands as Kowalski, Faygo, Better Made, Dearborn Sausage, Guernsey and much more.
Thankfully, the levels ingenuity and entrepreneurship continue to thrive within newer generations of our Michigander community, as we’ve seen a new wave of products hit it big over the past several years. Founders has quickly become one of the national gold standards in independent microbrews, Dave’s Sweet Tooth toffee delights people far and wide, and Tiny Apple Store has become one of the great producers of Apple Cider and Donuts.
But if you’re ever in a pickle on what to choose for a great snack or side dish, the obvious choice is McClure’s.
For over 12 years, this family-run Detroit business has been turning heads by producing some of the best pickles you’ll find anywhere in America. Started by Joe and Bob McClure, using recipes passed down by their parents and grandparents, this Michigan-made story has evolved to include relish, bloody mary mix, brine, sauerkraut and even their own potato chips. Their products are all-natural and each jar of goodness is hand-packed by one of their team members – not a machine. It truly is a great American success story and we’d love for you to learn more about it.
Please enjoy this great video that will give you the lowdown on what makes McClure’s a must-have brand for us:
