Nino’s is delighted and proud, for a third year to support local Girl Scouts in their Valentines 4-R Troops drive by hosting this event at our Troy and Clinton Twp. locations.
The Girl Scouts are on a mission to help Michigan military personnel and their families. The scouts are asking the public to visit their “Valentines 4-R Troops” booth at Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace in Troy and Clinton Township, Friday through Sunday, February 19th-21st.
Girl Scout Sisters Olivia and Jade, are hosting the event, that they initiated themselves, at Nino Salvaggio locations in Clinton Township (17496 Hall Road) and Troy (6835 Rochester Road) at the following hours:
Fri: Feb 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sat: Feb.20 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sun: Feb 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
You can help us by donating the following items:
Cash Donations: care packages via Soldier’s Angels.
Clothing Drop Off: for gently used and new clothing via The Disabled American Veterans.
Purchase cookies to be sent to the troops: Nino’s is donating 100 boxes of cookies and invites our customers to help us support our troops.
After the sisters learned about the children in military families being separated from their deployed parents, they raised money for 1,700 boxes of Girl Scout cookies for the troops. Last year, they sent nearly 3,700 boxes, and this year they hope to send 4,500. To kickstart the drive Nino’s will donate 100 boxes of cookies and invites our customers to help us support OUR troops.
“For a member of the military stationed overseas, receiving a box of Thin Mints or Tagalongs can go a long way in giving them a taste of home, and also serve as a reminder that they are being thought of,” Nino Salvaggio president Kirk Taylor said. “We are proud to welcome back Olivia and Jade and hope our customers and community members join us as we thank our troops for their service.”
This year the drive will assist Disabled American Veterans by collecting clothing and small household goods that will be accepted as Disabled American Veterans donations, which will go towards the organization’s thrift stores.
Olivia and Jade Golembiewski will be seeking Girl Scout Cookie donations for the troops during this year’s drive AND, cookies will be available for you to take home too!
To donate Girl Scout Cookies to the troops through the Golembiewski’s prior to the drive, mail a check payable to:
