I love Halloween! It is one of my favorite times of the year. It’s such a magical, fun time. It’s amazing seeing everyone dress up in mysterious costumes, decorating your house with the scariest decorations, and competing for the title of carving the most frightening faces on pumpkins.
It was quite different over in England when I was a kid. I really don’t remember the tradition of giving candy out to the trick or treaters, but I do recall playing innocent tricks on the neighbors! Now we get to sit back on the porch and watch everybody having a great time. It’s also a perfect time to pour myself a delicious cocktail. Here are a few to enjoy:
The Spider’s Kiss
1 part Midori Melon Liqueur
1 part Tito’s Vodka
Fresh lemon juice
Draw a chocolate web in a martini glass and place it in the fridge to chill. Combine Midori, Tito’s Vodka and lemon juice in a shaker and strain into the glass. For the blood effect, drizzle grenadine down the side of the glass. Garnish with a chocolate-dipped orange slice.
Blood Red Punch
6 ½ cups cranberry juice
4 cups of fruity red wine
2 cups fresh orange juice
1 cup whole fresh cranberries
Optional- Add plastic spiders to your ice cubes.
Combine all ingredients, except ice, in a punch bowl. Serves 8
Fulton’s Pumpkin Tini
3 oz. Fulton’s Pumpkin Liqueur
2 oz. Stoli Salted Karamel Vodka
Add ingredients together in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and pour into a martini glass.
I hope you enjoyed this blog. Have a happy and safe Halloween.
Until next time!
