I am so excited that Valentine’s Day is on a Saturday this year. That’s right, no excuses; no, “Yeah, the misses and I have to work in the morning, so we’re not doing anything.” I don’t want to hear it! What I want you to do is ask me for something special, a wine you and your significant other share fabulous memories of or a wine to pair with a romantic meal. By far one of my favorite white wines right now, Gran Passione Falanghina is a wine that will make anyone rekindle his or her love for white wine! Medium-bodied and aromatic, this Italian white is bolder than a Pinot Grigio with a silk mouth-feel and orange blossom, apple and pear on the nose. Expect it to be crisper and lighter than Chardonnay, with a bright and refreshing finish. Pair this with scallops, chicken picatta, or shrimp pasta!

I honestly hate gimmicky wine, especially around Valentine’s Day. But Terra Valentine is far from a gimmick. This is a straight-up, really good bottle of wine for an amazing price! Their website sells it for $50, and right now we have it for $23.99. This is not to be passed up! Blackberry, blueberry and cedar from extended French oak aging, this Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon is not only a terrific accompaniment to a Delmonico steak but also an amazing gift. Big, bold, and beautiful!

There’s just something sexy about this label–the hanging tie, signifying the end of a long day; opening a good bottle of wine with a great meal and a few slices of good-quality cheeses; or just sinking into the couch, snuggled up with that special someone and turning on Netflix. With sumptuous layers of black cherry, plum, vanilla and coffee, this Malbec is rich and full-bodied with a soft finish due to French and American oak aging.
