It’s hard to believe that Easter is just around the corner. I feel like we just celebrated Christmas! Also, we’ve experienced some fabulously warm weather here in Michigan, and it seems like everyone is in the mood for spring cleaning. I love Easter! When families get together and celebrate, I love the sweet smell of the ham baking in the oven, and I especially look forward to the delicious chocolate bunnies and eggs.
Fruity wines, with a touch of sweetness, pair deliciously with the sweet and salty richness of a ham.
Here are a couple of my favorite picks to pair with your Easter dinner.
J.P Chenet Sparkling Rose-$9.99- France
This one will definitely be placed on my Easter dinner table. It has a delicate touch of sweetness, plenty of acidity and just the right amount of fruit to balance.
Diora Pinot Noir La Petite Grace-$24.99- Monterey, California
If you prefer a red wine, try this rich Pinot Noir from Monterey, California. It’s rich and elegant, with black cherry and raspberry flavors.
Weingut Eduard Kroth Riesling Auslese– Mosel, Germany
This one is deliciously sweet, with luscious acidity and balance as well as flavors of apple, pear and quince.
Here at Nino’s, we have a very large assortment of wines to pair with all your favorite dishes.
I hope you found this helpful.
Happy Easter!
