Another Festa Italiana is in the books, and we couldn't be more grateful to everyone who made this year's celebration so special.

From Friday through Sunday, thousands of festivalgoers stopped by the Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace booth to enjoy our famous Italian steak with our signature ammoghio sauce, Italian sausage sandwiches, fresh-cut fruit, cannoli, coffee and so much more. It was a weekend filled with incredible food, laughter, live entertainment, and the unmistakable spirit of Italian culture.

One of the most memorable moments of the weekend came when we recreated a photo taken 24 years ago. The original image featured co-owner Frank Nicolella, our late founder Nino Salvaggio's son-in-law, with his young son Joseph sitting behind the wheel of the family's vintage produce truck. This year, father and son recreated that same moment—a powerful reminder that while generations grow, the traditions and values that define our family continue to live on.

"As I watched Joseph climb back into that truck after all these years, it reminded me exactly what Festa Italiana is all about," said Frank Nicolella, co-owner of Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace. "It's about family, honoring the traditions passed down from one generation to the next, celebrating our Italian heritage, and bringing our community together. Those are the same values that Nino built this company on, and seeing them come to life every year at Festa Italiana is something truly special."

As you browse through the photos below, you'll see smiling faces, longtime friends reconnecting, new memories being made, and the dedicated Nino Salvaggio team members who worked tirelessly throughout the weekend to serve every guest with the warmth and hospitality our founder believed in.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the Festa Italiana organizers,  sponsors, entertainers, vendors, and our amazing team that works so hard to make this one of Metro Detroit's premier summer festivals year after year. Events like this don't happen without an incredible team effort, and we're honored to be part of it.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who visited our booth. Whether you stopped by for a steak sandwich, an Italian sausage, fresh fruit, or simply to say hello, you made this another unforgettable weekend for our family.
