I am very proud to announce that Nino Salvaggio will sponsor a wine-tasting event for the Shelby Lions Club on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Palazzo Grande in Shelby Twp. Proceeds support Leader Dogs for the Blind and the other Shelby Twp. Lions charities. You will be able to sample lots of tasty wines, liquors, and beers from around the world and have some delicious gourmet food and appetizers. Just what everyone needs to jumpstart the season, get out, and get some great gift-giving ideas for the holidays. They are just around the corner!

If you feel like inviting your friends for brunch, we have some great sparklers for you to try that make great mimosas for an early treat.  If you like crisp, clean, and refreshing, try the Prima Perla Prosecco at table five. If your taste buds prefer fresh and fruity, with just a hint of sweetness, head over to table eight and try the La Marca Prosecco. Toasting for the holidays? Try one of the world’s silver-medal wine winners, Mawby Blanc De Blanc from Michigan, at table two. If you are a history buff, head over to table five for one of Thomas Jefferson’s personal favorites, The St. Hilaire sparkling from France.

Need a wine for your Thanksgiving dinner? Try this crowd pleaser featuring lots of peach finishing with a hint of zesty orange; it’s the Ryan Patrick Riesling at table nine.  One of my favorite Thanksgiving reds is the Marimar Estate Mas Cavalls Pinot Noir at table 3. It features lots of dark fruits, with a soft, silky finish. Yummy!

You will be amazed and entertained at this great event with music, an auction, and raffles, all for $65 going to a great cause. To give back to all of our loyal customers, on this night only, we will take 15% off any wine (excluding Liquor & Beer) purchased that night. It can be picked up at the Clinton Township or Rochester Nino Salvaggio location.
