Warm Up and Get Cozy With These Delicious Libations
The Holiday season is over and so far, I’m loving this mild January 2023 is bringing, but bone chilling temperatures are sure to be just around the corner. Now it’s time to relax and cozy up in front of the fireplace or invite friends over and gather around a bonfire. After a long jog I like to relax in the hot tub or melt away in the sauna. Sounds like it’s time for a yummy cocktail.
Check out these libations that are easy to make and will keep you warm all winter long.
French lavender Mule
In a shaker with ice add
1 Shot Ketel One Vodka
1 1/2 cups of ginger beer
½ shot of Domaine Canton Liqueur
1 drop of Dashfire Lavender bitters
Squeeze in lime also, garnish with lime.
Spiked Horchata Chocolate Dessert Cocktail
1 ½ cups whole milk
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp Cocoa powder
1 tsp Vanilla extract
6 oz Chocolate chips
½ cup Licor 43 Horchata
1/3 cup Warm Vanilla
1/4 cup caramel
Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
Directions
1: Simmer milk in a saucepan. Whisk in sugar and cocoa powder. Stir in chocolate chips until completely melted. Stir in Horchata. Turn off heat.
2: Dip cup in the caramel to coat the rim. Pour hot chocolate into each glass. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
Mean Mulled Concoction
In a saucepan add all the ingredients
1btl of Chaucer’s Mead with spice bag
1 cup Grand Marnier Liqueur
2 cups cranberry juice
1 orange quartered
7 whole cloves
7 whole Allspice
Cinnamon sticks
Simmer for 20 minutes and don’t allow it to boil. Remove cloves, allspice, and cinnamon sticks before serving. Pour in an airpot to keep warm. Serve in mugs with a cinnamon stick.
