Barbecues, picnics, and pool parties are on the horizon as Memorial Day marks the beginning of summer. To treat the summer heat and spice up any party, we have whipped up some refreshing, easy cocktails that will make your summer party a hit!

Blue Lemonade

What is it about drinking something blue that makes you feel like a kid again? This sweet and tart drink will fulfill both the kid and adult sides of you. Go ahead! Stick out your tongue and show your friends!

1.5 oz Blue Curacao
2 oz Citrus Vodka
Juice of 2 Lemons
1 tsp Powdered Sugar
2 oz Polar Lemon Soda

Fill a pint glass with ice and add all ingredients except soda. Stir vigorously, making sure that the sugar has dissolved. Top with Polar Lemon Soda, stirring one last time, and add a maraschino cherry and lemon wedge for garnish.

American Mojo

The US is a melting pot, and this drink is a good example. The Canadian company, Mojo (the Spanish word for magic), has created a drink that tastes like a favorite American summertime treat, the Bomb Pop.

1 oz. Mojo Shot Sour Berry
1 oz. Mojo Shot Blue Lagoon
3 oz Sprite

Pour all ingredients over ice in a pint glass and stir.

Apple Pie Float

Instead of having apple pie for dessert, offer an adult alternative!

4 oz Evan Williams Apple Orchard Liqueur
2 oz Vernors Ginger Ale
1 Scoop Hudsonville Vanilla Ice cream

Shake the Evan Williams Apple Orchard Liqueur in a shaker till ice cold. Pour in a tall pilsner or pint glass and top with Vernors and Ice Cream. Serve with a straw and a spoon.

Strawberry Shake Surprise!

Spring is the best time for strawberries, and they are always the best at Nino’s!

4 oz Vine Smoothies Strawberry
2 oz Stoli Blueberry Vodka
4 Large Strawberries, Sliced
1 Strawberry
Handful of Small, Mostly Thawed, Frozen Blueberries
Whipped Cream
Ice

Fill a blender with ice and add Vine Smoothies Strawberry, Blueberry Vodka, and 4 strawberries. Blend until smooth. Fill the bottom of a pint glass with blueberries and top with blended mixture. Garnish with a strawberry, split up the middle on the side of the glass and add whipped cream. Use an extra-wide bubble tea straw to suck up the ice-cold blueberries.

So while the burgers are flipped and the rays are caught, shake up these tasty treats and soak up the summer!

Enjoy!
