The tents and racks are up! And the flowers are on the way! We anticipate their arrival the first week of May, weather permitting.

Of course, that means another Outdoor Floral season is here at Nino’s. And this year, not only have we got our usual huge selection of annuals, perennials and all the landscaping mulch and soils you’ve come to expect, we have one more important thing from last year… Our prices.

And that means, $9.99 for flats of bedding Annuals (PLUS, buy 10 get the 11th FREE!) …. and our $5.99 one Gallon Perennials are also 3 for $15.00! Our Mulch in all 4 colors are 3 for $10.00, add to that 10” Hanging Baskets at $14.99 each and our soils at $1.99 a bag and the savings really add up.

If you’re looking for vegetable plants or fresh herbs for your garden planting, you’ll find great deals on them too!

Great selection, great prices and great service. Just pull up, and load up. And we’ll help you do that too!

Looking for some tips? Nino’s own resident outdoor floral buyer and planting specialist Mike Harris has a few for you.

1. Choose a garden that best fits your gardening experience level or ability to maintain your garden. Low maintenance annuals are best for the average gardener who is looking for a little color in their yard. If you’re not sure, ask us? We’d be glad to make some recommendations.
2. Before you do your flower and plant shopping at Nino’s, plan your garden ahead of time. Take into consideration the height of the flowers you intend to purchase so you’re buying enough taller ones for the back and the correct amount of shorter ones for the front of your beds.
3. A common mistake is planting your flowers too deep which can cause a lack of flowers/blooms on your plants. Plant flowers just deep enough to cover the roots.
4. Not all insects are bad. Brightly colored flowers will attract many predator insects which will keep the “bad ones” in check.
5. Mike strongly recommends a “transplanting” fertilizer which he mixes with water for the first watering after planting. Freshly transplanted flowers and plants need plenty of water until their roots are established. He estimates, depending on the natural weather conditions, that you keep your freshly planted beds well watered for 10 to 14 days.

We look forward to seeing you at any one of our 3 Nino’s Outdoor Floral displays and hope you enjoy the beauty of this year’s crop of beautiful flowers and plants all throughout the season.
