Fresh Flavor Fillets™

Nino’s “Fresh Flavor Fillets™” are a terrific way to experience the many interesting and delicious fish that we pre-prepare for your convenience with our own recipes of prepared stuffings, marinades, rubs and seasonings.

This delicious Yellow Fin Tuna Entrée is best prepared using the PAN SEARING method.

Pan Searing Method:
Pre-heat a non-stick (Teflon) sauté or frying pan to medium hot. Add 2 TBSP vegetable oil to the pan. Remove product from container and place in the sauté pan. Cooking time will vary depending on thickness and overall size. Season with salt and pepper before service. Typically, a 3/4 to one inch Yellow Fin Tuna Steak will require approximately 5 to 7 minutes on each side to cook to medium well.

Additional Information:
Unlike many fish and fish recipes, Sesame Crusted Yellow Fin Tuna is most often prepared to the doneness of *Medium Rare to Medium. However, for a well done fillet, it will be fully cooked when a small incision in the thickest part of the fillet is able to flake the flesh, it is no longer translucent but fully opaque in color, and the fillet is firm. Once cooked to your preference, remove fillet from the pan, season with salt and pepper and serve.

TO SERVE WITH TERIYAKI SAUCE: Remove sauce from its container and re-heat in a small sauce pan until simmering or place in a small microwave safe container andmicrowave for 30 seconds or until heated through. Pour over finished Sesame Crusted Tuna.

ADDITIONAL SIDE DISH VEGETABLES INCLUDE: Sautéed Pea Pods, Baby Carrots, Bok Choy, Baby Corn, Water Chestnuts, Red Bell Peppers, Bean Sprouts and Bamboo Shoots.
